Corporate Governance
Corporate governance is the system of rules, relationships and practices that determine the direction and control of an organisation. More art than science it encompasses the culture, principles, policies, delegations and practices to effectively guide an organisation and report appropriately.
Although each jurisdiction has a raft of legislation and regulation, mature organisations recognise that there are no definitive ‘answers’ – rather an ongoing dialogue about an appropriate level of maturity to serve the current and emerging needs of the business.
Governance Manager’s robust corporate governance framework is based on the OECD and ASX8 Principles, but recognises that every organisation is at different stages of the maturity cycle both overall and within each principle.
We celebrate these individual and unique governance states as reflecting the diversity that exists within the Government, regulatory and commercial environments. This same indivduality and diversity drives innovation and the adoption of best practices across groups, industry sectors and regions.
